Background Information:

PLANET ONLINE LAOS has been providing IT services in Lao PDR since 1996. The entrepreneurial characteristics of the founder members and its subsequent Directors have steered the company to become a serious player in the Laos IP services market. This has been achieved by initially acquiring the necessary licenses from the appropriate Government Ministries to create a firm legal foundation from which to grow.

Planet launched its full ISP dial-up service in 2001, followed by Wi-Fi Hotspot Internet services in 2002. In 2003 Planet launched Wireless Internet service to corporate customers and then Broadband Wireless Internet service to Individuals in 2005, together with a VoIP value added service. In 2009 Planet soft-launched its WiMAX Broadband Internet service.
